Voting Results Week 23: Top Ten Unchanged

Firstly, we would look at the state of the market over the week to assess how the crypto space fared. Then, we shall review the community’s sentiment with analysis based on votes by our 18Digits community.

The State of the Market

The market remains in the bear phase, with most cryptocurrencies still taking a hit from the state of the market. This week has seen the top coins remain in the red zone, with Bitcoin (BTC) trading below $30,000 and Ethereum (ETH) below the $2,000 mark. Cardano (ADA) seems to be on the uptrend; after turning in good returns for its investors last week, Cardano has risen 8.95% this week, making it the stand-out performer amongst the top 10 cryptocurrencies. Helium (HNT) saw the most important price movement in the market this week; the token gained over 40% during the last seven days, with a current valuation of $11.76 (data from CoinMarketCap).

Nonetheless, let’s look at what the 18Digits community has to say regarding potential future gainers and losers.

18Digits Top 18 Voting Results

The top ten tokens from last week remained unchanged after voting was concluded this week. Ethereum (ETH) kept its place as number one, with Bitcoin (BTC) and Binance Coin (BNB) coming in second and third, respectively. For the fourth straight week, Solana (SOL) remained fourth while Cardano (ADA) rounded up the top 5 after regaining the position last week. Polygon (MATIC), Litecoin (LTC), TRON(TRX), Shiba Inu (SHIB), and Polkadot (DOT) all concluded the top ten.

This week also saw Vechain (VET) breaking into the top 18 to replace Bitcoin Cash (BCH), dropping two places into 20th on the overall chart. The most notable changes on the chart was Terra (LUNC) dropping two spots to 16th and PancakeSwap (CAKE) jumping two spots to take Terra’s previous 14th spot.

Stellar (XLM) remains in the bottom three for the third straight week and ranks 17th for the second week in a row, with Terra(LUNC) and VeChain (VET) ranking 16th and 18th to complete the bottom three.

Biggest Gainers and Losers Voting Results

Every week we rank the biggest gainers, which voters from the community propel. These biggest gainers are tokens on the chart with the most positive changes in positions, which brings them to the forefront of the 18Digit community. In contrast, the biggest losers are tokens that have failed to be backed by the 18Digit community and have dropped rapidly on the chart.

The biggest gainer of the week is the Trust Wallet Token (TWT), moving up 14,867 places to rank 3,966. Optimism (OP) takes second place on the biggest gainers chart advancing 11,883 places to rank number 80 on the overall chart. UPFI Network (UPS) concludes the top three biggest gainers; the token rose 11,223 places to rank 1,307.

On the other hand, PUSD_Polyquity, AnteDAO, AlgoDAO, Algodex, and Tom Coin ranked as the top 5 biggest losers for week 23.
